Leland
I call Leland home and it’s so gorgeous it has the look of a movie scene. In fact, several feature films have been shot here. And sure, it’s hard to pin down the best things about this small city of just over 24,000 and growing. But for many, the beautiful Brunswick River is their favorite thing about Leland. On any given day, you’ll see families enjoying a kayak trip or bird-watching in the area. There’s also amazing fishing – that is if you like tasty catfish, flounder, and Blue crab.
Now, the cat is out of the bag about golfing in and around Leland. Magnolia Greens sees its share of golfers who headed south so they could play more than five months out of the year! And for you who love to shop til you drop (or they blink the lights in the store), we have plenty of local boutiques that will make your day. The trick is to never shop on an empty stomach though, and the choices are incredible. If Mexican street food doesn’t make your mouth water, then the crab cake sandwiches definitely will. On top of that, fine dining options are available as well.
Something that many out-of-towners don’t know? Leland has venues for acoustic music and even live comedy. Awesome, right? Oh, and not to brag, but Leland is pickleball paradise, with several modern facilities for casual play and tournaments.
